My trip to devon in the search of locations to photograph, was a mixed one. The awful weather was only interrupted with a couple of glimpses of good light, and when they came I did my best to capture what I could.
With a pretty dire conditions forecast for the entirety of the four day trip, we were pretty much resided to the fact the we would spend our time researching locations for the next time.
The only real break in the weather came on the second day, after a day of battering wind and rain. We were sat in the car buffeted by the wind and rain looking over to Burgh Island from Bigbury on Sea. Out of nowhere a break in the weather started to appear, in haste I prepared the camera and filters and headed down the cliff to the waters edge. The wind was still driving in from the Southwest. The filters and lens needed cleaning between each exposure due to the salt water swirling round in the wind. As quickly as the dash of colour and break in the sky had arrived it went as the sun eventually set and the clouds drew back in.
It was less than ten minutes from the rain stopping and the small break appearing, to it clouding over again. Right time, right place.
Photographs from these series will be available soon on the forthcoming 'Ltd Prints' page and galleries near you!
