To say the Brambles Cricket Match this year was wet would be an understatement!! There was a downpour, just before everyone was due to go ashore, this was as it became clear there was not to be a shore to go to!
In the tradition of the event, with the Royal Southern Yacht Club and the Island Sailing Club taking it in turns to officially win, it was the Islands' turn for victory this year. With a low pressure and a smaller tidal range this year there wasn't actually any dry land to step on to, but members from both clubs showed great spirit and took to the shallows for a quick knock about.
Needless to say everyone was thoroughly soaked, including me and the cameras!
